Title: Changes to the Death Penalty in California

This past election season, not only did the citizens of the United States vote for a new president, they voted on propositions each state created to either amend, add to, or remove a law they currently have. This year California gave their citizens two choices concerning the death penalty; either abolish the death penalty completely or speed up the sentencing and execution process. Californians voted to speed up, or reform the death penalty. This presentation will examine the new reforms along with researching whether or not this violates the eight amendment.
