Title: Compressibility Profiles of Coprocessed Excipients at Different Storage Conditions
Developed under the guidance of Dr. Rahul Haware , Pharmaceutical Sciences
Co-processed excipients (CPEs) are combination of two or more excipients to produce materials that offer synergic effect. These excipients might exhibit stability issues during storage. This could eventually change the tablet properties. The stability issues associated with CPEs will be investigated using DM3 approach. DM3 approach is composed of design of experiments (D) and multivariate analysis techniques (M3) to evaluate the effect of material (M1) and manufacturing (M2) properties on tablet mechanical strength (TMS). MicroceLac® 100, StarLac® and CombiLac® were selected as model CPEs to study the impact of relative humidity on their TMS. This study is still under progress.
