Title: Assessing the Performance of Abdominal Muscles During Prone Bridge Exercise in Older and Younger Adults
Developed under the guidance of Dr. Jennifer Bunn , Exercise Science

This study assessed the performance of abdominal muscles during prone bridge exercise, as a safer alternative to curl-ups. 20 young adults and 20 older adults were asked to maintain a proper prone bridge for as long as possible. The time was recorded and participants were asked to perform the prone bridge again, one week later. Reliability between testing sessions was assessed. Both groups improved performance in the second session, but correlations were still high. These data suggest that repeating testing may improve prone bridge performance, and there is a likely trend to a decrease in performance with age.
