Title: Turkey's Syria Problem
Developed under the guidance of Dr. James Martin , History
The purpose of this report was to analyze Turkish foreign policy. The report first describes background information on Turkey itself, including history, geography, and demographics. The report seeks to expound how Turkish foreign policy has progressed in conjunction with the Arab Spring in 2011, the ongoing Syrian Civil War, and the rise of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (IS). Turkey's foreign policy of "zero problems with neighbors" which began in the mid-2000s has transformed into "nothing but problems" and this report endeavors to explain what events led to this change and why.
